Sometimes, a song finds you at exactly the right moment. I was listening to RAYE's Click Clack Symphony. when a line from the outro caught me:
“And there she danced under the weight of her clouds.”
I remember thinking about how many women carry things that nobody else can see. The kind of weight that doesn't necessarily show on the outside. You can be smiling, working, taking care of everyone around you, making plans, laughing with your friends—and still be carrying a cloud of your own.
At first, I was thinking about all the women I know who have experienced that. And then, somewhere while creating this sticker, I realized that I had been one of those women too.
The past year has carried a weight that I didn't always know how to put into words. Some of it was visible, some of it wasn't. And now that some of that weight has finally lifted, I can feel myself breathing a little differently. But life has a funny way of replacing one cloud with another. I can already feel a new one gathering.
This time, it's self-doubt.
And maybe that's why this image spoke to me so much. Because the message isn't that the clouds disappear. It's that she dances anyway. There is something incredibly beautiful about that. You don't always have to wait until everything is okay before you allow yourself to feel joy. You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to be completely free from fear, sadness or doubt. Sometimes you just have to put on your music and dance underneath it all.

And speaking of music, this song has another reason to be special to me: Hans Zimmer. Click Clack Symphony. features Hans Zimmer, and that immediately made the song even more meaningful to me. I've unknowingly loved his compositions for years. His music, to me, is its own kind of emotional release. It reaches somewhere words sometimes can't. It can bring out emotions I've been holding onto without even realizing it.
He's my go-to.
Headphones on. Music on. Mind/Thoughts off. And let it all go.
So perhaps it makes sense that this particular song, and this particular line, ended up becoming a sticker. Because when I look at her, I don't see a woman who has no problems. I see a woman who has clouds. Heavy ones. Unseen ones. New ones. Old ones. And yet, there she is. Dancing.
I hope more women know that this feeling is possible. That even when life feels heavy, there can still be music. There can still be movement. There can still be joy. And sometimes, you can dance your way through the clouds until you find the sun again. 🤎✨
